Prayer, Meditation & Blessing – How To
Facilitated by Allyson Szabo
Tuesdays through March 23, 2010
6:00pm  - 7:30pm at the Parsonage

Prayer, meditation and blessings are something that should be present in every spiritual person’s life. Too many of us let the ongoing grind distract us from connections with God that would help us be centered, focused and more calm.  This study is designed to allow us to learn more about prayer (talking to God), meditation (listening to God) and blessing (doing God’s work) and how these three things affect our daily life.  There will be study and activity during each class, as well as a small homework activity to help us put into practice the theories that we are learning.  Please feel free to come to one or all of the classes!  Contact Allyson at 603-336-6144 for more information.     Update on classes:  Due to several snow storms and illness, the classes have been extended through March 23rd.     There will be another book study starting up on April 6th, more to follow on that later.

 NOTE FROM THE SECRETARY:

Deadline for the April Newsletter is March 19th.  All newsletter articles may be dropped off at the church office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am & Noon, or e-mailed to the church office at unitedchurchofwinchester@myfairpoint.net.  Due to time constraints, the deadline will not be extended.

In an attempt to save expenses we have been e-mailing the newsletter to those members with e-mail, however we still have approximately 116 newsletters that are mailed to folks at a cost of .66 cents per mailing.   This amounts to $76.56 each month.   The cost for newsletter mailings was not made part of the operating budget for 2010.  Donations are gratefully accepted to help defer the cost for the newsletter mailings.

Deadline for Sunday Bulletin & Weekly Window articles is every Tuesday by Noon.  All prayer concerns and/or articles may be dropped off at the church office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am & Noon, or e-mailed to the church office at unitedchurchofwinchester@myfairpoint.net.  Due to time constraints, the deadline will not be extended.

Church Directory – The first draft of our Church Directory has been generated.  If you have not already done so, please take a moment to review your contact information.   If you have changes that need to be made, please drop that information off at the church office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am & Noon, or
e-mail it to the church office at unitedchurchofwinchester@myfairpoint.net.
